In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Who and What is Dajjal in Islam?

In Islam, Dajjal (Arabic: الدجّال) means “the great deceiver”. Many imagine him as a monster or sorcerer who appears before the Day of Judgment. But according to the Qur’an, Hadith, and the teachings of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, Dajjal is a symbol of widespread religious deception and materialism, not a one-eyed superhuman.
“Dajjal is one who covers truth with falsehood.”
— Lisan al-Arab (Arabic Dictionary)
He represents:
- False beliefs in the name of Jesus (like Trinity, Sonship of God, Atonement)
- Colonial Christian missionaries and materialistic Western nations
- Blindness to spiritual truth, despite dominance in worldly sciences
